Ohio State Route 575 is a C-shaped route on the west side of Kelleys Island, an island in Lake Erie. The entire state highway designation takes up a portion of a road labeled "Lakeshore Drive" on the island. The southern end occurs just west of Division Street, which serves as somewhat of a north-south meridian on the island. The northern end is at Division Street, at an intersection that also hosts an entrance to Kelleys Island State Park and the driveway to the Glacial Grooves, a local geologic wonder and exhibit. The southern beginning is marked by the trailblazer shown in the image above; the northern beginning is announced by the sign assembly shown below. Ohio Route 575 has no end markers; just these two signs marking the two points of beginning, and a pair of guide markers by a sharp turn at Minshall Lane (as of October 9, 2023).
My photo for Ohio Route 575 comes from the northern end of the route, on the north side of Kelleys Island. The sign faces east toward travelers at the junction where you'll find Kelleys Island State Park and the Glacial Grooves. The state route only has a sign announcing the southern start, and this sign announcing the northern start; plus a guide marker in each direction at a sharp turn in the middle of the route. This photo was taken in October 2023 during the trip to the Lake Erie Islands and northwestern Ohio.
