Ohio State Route 647 is a short route from Martins Ferry to Mount Pleasant, along the eastern edge of east-central Ohio. Ohio Route 647 begins at Ohio Route 7 near the Ohio River in Martins Ferry, Ohio. Martins Ferry is just north of Bridgeport, Ohio, and Wheeling, West Virginia. From Martins Ferry, Ohio Route 647 heads northwesterly into the hills. It winds through the hills for about ten miles to Mount Pleasant, where it ends at Ohio Route 150.
My photo for Ohio Route 647 comes from the southeastern end in Martins Ferry, at Ohio Route 7. In fact, you can see a northbound trailblazer for Ohio Route 7 in the background. The aperture, and the traffic reading the signage photographed, looks north at a guide marker assembly pointing out their opportunity at a left turn onto Ohio Route 647. This photo was taken in March 2021, during my exhaustive tour of the southeastern quarter of Ohio.
