Ohio State Route 412 is a short east-west highway in the eastern half of Sandusky County, in north-central Ohio. The route stems easterly out of Fremont, toward Castalia and Sandusky. The western end in Fremont is at the freeway bypass carrying US Route 20 and Ohio Route 19. Ohio Route 412 sets out toward the east, in a direction that is mainly eastward with a slight northward tilt. As the Ohio Turnpike (Interstates 80 and 90) has a slight southerly component to its eastward motion, the Turnpike crosses over Ohio Route 412 with no access. As Ohio Route 101 runs northwesterly from Clyde to Castalia and Fremont, it intercepts Ohio Route 412 and picks up its traffic to carry it onward. At this point where Ohio Route 101 meets Ohio Route 412, Ohio Route 412 reaches its completion.
My photo of Ohio Route 412 shows an eastbound trailblazer very near the western end. This scene lies at Ohio Route 412's first intermediate junction with a local road, a fraction of a mile east of US Route 20 and Ohio Route 19. Fremont was right behind me as I took this photo looking east, on a trip around north-central and northwestern Ohio in October 2023.
