Ohio State Route 546 is a short north-south route between Mount Vernon and Mansfield. It appears to be a shortcut between US Route 42 and Ohio Route 13, or a spur from Ohio Route 13 to Lexington. The southern end, at Ohio Route 13, is just north of Fredericksburg, in northern Knox County. From there, Ohio Route 546 runs northwesterly and northerly to Lexington, 11 miles later. That northern end comes at Ohio Route 546 intersects the concurrency of US Route 42 and Ohio Route 97.
