Ohio State Route 710 is a short route providing access to an industrial area in the north-central section of the Columbus metroplex. The western end is at Ohio Route 161, just west of Interstate 71, but just east of Worthington. Ohio Route 710 runs north along Busch Boulevard for exactly one mile, and then it turns east onto Schrock Road. Schrock Road takes Ohio Route 710 in an east-northeasterly direction, onto overpasses that cross both Interstate 71 and Interstate 270. Ohio Route 710's objective, at this point, is to provide access to Interstate 270. It does so by turning southerly to reach the first interchange east of Interstate 71, along Cleveland Avenue. The interchange at Cleveland Avenue and Interstate 270 is where Ohio Route 710 ends. This pathing gives Ohio Route 710 the shape of the makeshift gallows drawn in a game of Hangman.
My photo for Ohio Route 710 comes from its turn from Busch Boulevard onto Schrock Road. This is the first bend in the route after the western terminus at Ohio Route 161. The guide marker shown faces south to drivers on Busch Boulevard, letting them know that Ohio Route 710 continues with a turn to the right. This route sign photo was taken on a rainy morning in March 2021, at the latter end of my trip around southeastern Ohio (I had to go northwest from there through the Columbus area to get home).
