Indiana State Route 203 makes a figure-8 with its parent route, Indiana Route 3, in eastern Scott County.  This is in south-central Indiana.  From its southern end at Indiana Route 362 a block east of Indiana Route 3, Route 203 heads north flanking Route 3 to the east; then, it joins Indiana Routes 3 and 56 west to a new northward alignment flanking Indiana Route 3 to the west. The northern end is at Indiana Route 256 east of Austin.
