^Indiana 262 first curves toward the east after descending south from US Route 50 in Dillsboro, April 2026.

Indiana State Route 262 is a short connector heading southeast out of Dillsboro to Rising Sun, the county seat of Ohio County on the Ohio River.  This is in the southeastern corner of Indiana.  The northwestern end in Dillsboro is at Indiana Route 62, a block south of that route's eastern end at US Route 50. The eastern end in Rising Sun is at a north-south portion Indiana Route 56, which runs along a southerly-flowing section of the Ohio River downstream of Cincinnati.

My photo for Indiana Route 262 is the junction marker on northbound Indiana Route 56.  This is just west of the southerly-flowing Ohio River, in the village of Rising Sun. In February 2017, exited southwestern Ohio and took a weird way home, allowing me to take this photo.
