Ohio State Route 125 runs across southernmost Ohio, in the riverside region between Cincinnati and Portsmouth. The inceptions of Ohio Route 125 and Ohio Route 32 are both at an interchange with US Route 50 in Linwood, just barely east of Cincinnati. All of Ohio Route 125 then parallels US Route 52 and the Ohio River valley to the north, serving areas just inland of the river. The eastern end is at US Route 52 just west of Portsmouth; presumably, most traffic reaching this terminus converges with US Route 52 so it can reach the Portsmouth area and beyond.
My photo of Ohio State Route 125 comes from a 4-way intersection near the tiny town of Decatur that is home to endpoints of Ohio Route 353 and Ohio Route 763. At this junction, Ohio Route 125 turns from westerly to northerly, but the northward leg soon corrects back toward the west. This photo looks north at the westbound trailblazer seen by those on Ohio Route 125, after they turn north. You can see the leftward bend back to an easterly course in the background of this blurry photo--sorry that it's so blurry. This photo was (poorly) taken in October 2018 during the southwest Ohio trip. Back to Ohio Routes 100-199. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
