​​Michigan Highway 79 is an east-west route southwest of Lansing and southeast of Grand Rapids.  The western end of Michigan Highway 79 is at Michigan Highway 37 outside of Hastings.  From that western end, Michigan Highway 79 heads east through Nashville to end in Charlotte.  That eastern end, in downtown Charlotte, is at Michigan Highway 50.  As an aside, the related route of Michigan Highway 179 continues west out of Hastings a bit farther to US Route 131.

My photo for Michigan Highway 79 comes from its eastern end in Charlotte. The signage shown is the first westbound reassurance marker communicating to those who have just turned off of Michigan Highway 50.  I took this photo as I was setting out on a trip to Metro Detroit and the Michigan Thumb in April 2021.
