Michigan Highway 84 is a short north-south route leading north out of the west side of Saginaw. It's useful for connecting the western reaches of the Saginaw area with the northwestern continuation of Interstate 75 out of the area. The northern end of Michigan Highway 84 is a bit beyond Interstate 75, though, at Michigan Highway 13 in the southwest corner of Bay City. From there, Michigan Highway 84 runs southwesterly through an interchange with Interstate 75, and then south-southwesterly for a couple miles. The route heads due south from then onward, ending at Michigan Highway 58 on the west side of Saginaw.
My photo of a Michigan Highway 84 marker comes from its southern end at Michigan Highway 58. The signage depicted, sitting on the west side of Saginaw, Michigan, is the westbound junction marker. This marker alerts westbound travelers on Michigan Highway 58 that the turn onto Michigan Highway 84 is coming up. This photo was taken in April 2021, at the end of my trip around Metro Detroit and the Michigan Thumb.
