^Looking north from the southern end at Ohio 88 in Freedom, October 2022.
Ohio State Route 700 runs north-south for 17 miles in Geauga and Portage Counties, in northeastern Ohio. The northern end is at the Central Square in Burton, where Ohio Route 87 crosses from west to east. Ohio Route 168 also has its northern terminus here. Ohio Routes 700 and 168 head south together, but Ohio Route 168 splits off toward the southeast after about a mile. Looking onward, Ohio Route 700 heads south, maintaining a fairly straight course through Hiram (though not perfectly straight). The southern end of Ohio Route 700 occurs just after crossing Ohio Route 303, at the southwesterly-angled highway of Ohio Route 88. This is at the unincorporated community entitled "Freedom". Most travelers using the southern extent of Ohio Route 700 continue onward using Ohio Route 88's southwesterly leg to reach Ravenna.
My photo for Ohio Route 700 comes from its southern endpoint at Ohio Route 88, in the hamlet of Freedom. Ohio Route 303 and the Ohio Turnpike lie just to the north. The aperture looks northeastward at a guide assembly for northeastward travelers on Ohio Route 88, pointing to the left. This photo was taken in October 2022 as I was driving around northeastern Ohio.
