Iowa Route 127 is a fairly short east-west route in the rugged Loess Hills of west-central Iowa. This is north of the Council Bluffs area, in the western extent of Iowa. The western end is at Interstate 29, at an interchange just east of the Missouri River but just west of the town of Mondamin. From that western end point, Iowa Route 127 heads east through Magnolia and southeast to Logan, where it ends. An intersection with US Route 30 in downtown Logan marks the southeastern endpoint.
My photo of a route marker for Iowa Route 127 comes from Iowa Route 127's only intermediate junction with a state highway between its two endpoints. That junction is with Iowa Route 183 just east of Mondamin. My photo shows the guide assembly facing west for eastbound travelers on Iowa Route 127. This photo was taken in October 2021 during my trip across southern and west-central Iowa. Back to the Iowa main page. Back to the home page.
