Ohio State Route 534 is a fairly long north-south highway in northeastern Ohio. It stays more rural than other north-south routes in the area. The northern end is also the western end of Ohio Route 531; in Geneva-on-the-Lake, the road carrying Ohio Route 531 westward bends into a southerly road carrying Ohio Route 534. Though the route proceeds south for seventy miles, it only manages to pass through two sizeable towns: Geneva and Newton Falls. The southern end is just west of Salem, at US Route 62 and Ohio Route 173.
My photo for Ohio Route 534 comes from the small hamlet of Farmington, where it meets Ohio Route 88. The signage depicted is the southbound trailblazer, meant to reassure the people turning toward the south along Ohio Route 534. This photo was taken in October 2022, during the grand tour around northeastern Ohio.
