Ohio State Route 246 stems westerly out of downtown Toledo, running for 8 miles along Dorr Street. The western end is at Interstate 475, which also carries US Route 23, at a dogbone interchange on the western edge of Toledo's municipal limits. Ohio Route 246 runs straight toward the east until its final block, where it crosses Interstate 75 and bends northeasterly along 17th Street. One block after that bend, Ohio Route 246 ends at Ohio Route 51 (Monroe Street).
My photo for Ohio State Route 246 comes from a 4-way intersection, where it crosses a north-south jog in US Route 20. This is about a mile east of the highway's western end. Eastbound travelers see the guide marker for US Route 20, and also an eastbound trailblazer for those choosing to continue east, mounted on the same utility pole. This photo was taken in October 2016, as part of the Toledo detour from West Virginia. Back to Ohio Routes 200-299. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
