Illinois Route 155 is a short little road to nowhere. It starts at Illinois Route 3 in northern Randolph County and runs southwesterly to the village of Prairie du Rocher and Fort de Chartres State Historic Site, by the Mississippi River.

After passing through Prairie du Rocher, Illinois 155 ends outside of Fort de Chartres State Historic Site. The road continues, though, and travelers can continue down the road on Stringtown Road, which follows the east bank of the Mississippi River northward.
