Iowa Route 160 is a very short east-west highway just north of Des Moines.  It occupies two miles of east-west roadway in Ankeny that connects a bend in Iowa Route 415 to Interstate 35.  The western end of Iowa Route 160 is the junction where Iowa Route 415 turns from a northerly route to a westerly route.  The eastern end is an interchange with Interstate 35 directly east of that junction.

My photo of Iowa Route 160 is the first eastbound trailblazer for traffic coming off of Iowa Route 415.  The eastern beginning of Iowa Route 160 is the roadway you see in the image. This photo was taken in February 2016 along a trip to and from Omaha, which made extensive use of Interstate 80.  Interstate 80 lies only a few miles to the south of Iowa Route 160.
