US Route 341 runs from Barnesville, a town in central Georgia, southeast to Brunswick, on Georgia's Atlantic coast. As US Route 41 travels south, it turns more easterly in Barnesville, sending US Route 341 south as the southerly route in its stead. Then, US Route 341 bends southeast to cross US Route 41 again in Perry, Georgia. From Perry onward, US Route 341 continues southeasterly as a spur from US Route 41 to Brunswick, Georgia, where it ends at US Route 17.
My photo for US Route 341 was taken in Perry, Georgia, where Interstate 75 has an interchange to access US Route 341. (US Route 41 and Interstate 75 run along the same corridor throughout Georgia.) The sign assembly depicted is a trailblazer facing westward to traffic coming from the interchange. This photo was taken in November 2016, on the way home from the second Gulf Coast trip. This is the photo dedicated to showing Georgia's style of US highway marker. Georgia insists on using square sign panels showing their drawing of a shield with an extra-pointy bottom end.
