Ohio State Route 379 is a short route running through the hills that sit where Noble County meets Belmont County. It begins east of Summerfield at Ohio Route 78, and it runs northerly from there. It bends easterly through the hamlet of Calais, and then it turns northerly through another unincorporated community: Temperanceville. The northern end occurs at Ohio Route 147 southwest of Barnesville.
My photo for Ohio Route 379 comes from the northern end, which lies southwest of Barnesville. The northern end is at Ohio Route 147, as stated before. Westbound travelers on Ohio Route 147 will see the guide marker in the photo, pointing out the left turn onto Ohio Route 379. This photo was taken in March 2021 during the tour around southeastern Ohio.
