Ohio State Route 373 is a short local route shaped like a backwards "C" in southeastern Ohio. Both of its ends are at Ohio Route 93. Like Ohio Routes 371 and 372, its purpose is to provide access to a state forest. The relevant state forest here is Dean State Forest, in western Lawrence County. Whereas Ohio Route 93 winds around the western side of the bulk of Dean State Forest, Ohio Route 373 takes a more easterly course to serve the trailheads and recreational sites that are part of the State Forest.
My photo of Ohio Route 373 comes from the southern end of the backwards "C". Travelers on Ohio Route 93 encounter a junction with Ohio Route 373 on two separate occasion; the guide marker depicted indicates the first of two turns onto the route that northbound drivers will encounter. This photo was taken in March 2021 during the tour of southeastern Ohio.
