Ohio State Route 615 is a short north-south route serving the Mentor area, in northeastern Ohio. Both the north and south ends curl westward, giving the route the appearance of a closing parenthesis. The northern end is at Ohio Route 283, in Mentor-on-the-Lake. The route goes eastward at first, but quickly corrects toward the south to serve as the central thoroughfare in Mentor. Ohio Route 615 crosses US Route 20 and Ohio Route 84 at separate intersections in Mentor, and it even has its own interchange with Interstate 90. Past Interstate 90, Ohio Route 615 curls westward to end at Ohio Route 306 in Kirtland.
My photo for Ohio Route 615 shows a northbound trailblazer for travelers leaving the intersection with US Route 20 in Mentor. The margins are larger than usual on this route marker. The aperture looks north at the piece of Ohio Route 615 leading north of the intersection. This photo was taken during the grand tour of northeastern Ohio, in October 2022.
