^Looking west from Exit 46 to US Route 42, near Sharonville, August 2024.
Interstate 275 is a broad, widely-sweeping beltway around Cincinnati, completing a full circuit around the city. As Cincinnati sits along a river forming a state border between Ohio and Kentucky, about half of Interstate 275 sits in Kentucky. Interstate 275 is remarkable because, compared to other Interstate beltways around cities, Interstate 275 stays a remarkable distance from the city it encircles.'
As with all of the Ohio Interstate pages, more information and a full exit list will come in the future. For now, enjoy this general information and a photo of the signage, in a similar fashion to how I do the state and US highway pages.
This is my featured photo of Interstate 275 in Ohio, but an older photo for this page is also shown, down at the bottom.
My photo of Interstate 275 signage shows a junction marker seen by those on US Route 22 entering the Cincinnati area from the northeast. Ohio Route 3 is also following this road that carries US Route 22. This photo was taken early on a morning in August 2024. I had just finished a hotel stay in Mason for the purpose of visiting a good friend.
Another photo of Interstate 275 in Ohio once held center stage on this page. This older photo appears below.
My photo of Interstate 275 in Ohio comes from US Route 50 on the east side of the Cincinnati metropolitan area. Westbound travelers on US Route 50 meet an intersection with Ohio Route 450, which is a connector to Interstate 275. The guide marker here explains that. This photo was taken in October 2018, as I was driving around southwestern Ohio.
