Indiana State Route 37 is one of Indiana's high-profile diagonal routes, running from Marion southwesterly across the Indianapolis area.  After Indianapolis, Indiana 37 marks the corridor being transformed into Interstate 69's southern extension, until Bloomington, where Indiana 37 splits to head southerly to Tell City, on the Ohio River.
