Ohio State Route 772 is a route through the rural hills southwest of Chillicothe, in south-central Ohio. The route begins in Chillicothe itself, at a piece of US Route 50 duplexed with Ohio Route 104. After beginning in Ross County, Ohio Route 772 heads southerly and southwesterly into Pike County. It crosses all of western Pike County, and enters the next county to the south, Scioto County. Ohio Route 772 ends in northwestern Scioto County at Ohio Route 73 in Rarden.
My photo for Ohio Route 772 comes from the northern end in Chillicothe. This trailblazer in the photo marks the northern beginning; this is the scene that greets travelers who turn off of US Route 50 onto Ohio Route 772. This photo was taken in March 2021 as I was setting out for my tour all over the southeastern quarter of Ohio.
