Ohio State Route 502 is a short route stemming west out of Greenville, on the western edge of Ohio. The western extent of Ohio Route 502 is at the Indiana state line. The alignment used by Ohio Route 502 continues west into Indiana, but not as any numbered highway. Looking eastward, Ohio Route 502 proceeds for almost ten miles until it reaches the central square of Greenville. The central square of Greenville features the rotary where Ohio Route 502 ends, linking up with the other routes using the rotary. Those routes are Ohio Routes 49, 118, 121, and 571.
My photo for Ohio Route 502 shows a trailblazer facing east, to westbound travelers looking to proceed out of Greenville. The eastern beginning of Ohio Route 502 heads southwest on Main Street for three blocks before turning right (northwesterly). I was looking for a sign for Ohio Route 502 at the central rotary, and to my dismay, I didn't find anything. But I found this sign that appears right after the turn off of Main Street. This photo was taken in September 2017, on the way to Columbus.
