Indiana State Route 120 runs east-west across the northern extent of Indiana, from Elkhart east to the state's northeast corner. The western end is abrupt at the eastern end of the Elkhart city limits; the end marker is signed at the junction with Middleton Run Road, on the south shore of the St. Joseph River. The eastern end of Indiana Route 120 is at the longitudinal eastern border of Indiana, where the road continues into Michigan. This is a point less than a mile north of Ohio's northwestern corner. Michigan's border actually jogs south there, and the northern border of Ohio actually lies a bit south of the northern border of Indiana. The former route of Michigan Route 120 once continued east here, into the southern extent of Michigan.
My photo for Indiana Route 120 is the eastbound trailblazer coming off of Elkhart County Route 17, which was once Indiana Route 17. This is in an unincorporated zone and very near Elkhart. This photo was taken in June 2016 on the way home from Ohio.
