Ohio State Route 506 is a very short east-west route in eastern Highland County. It spends four miles flanking the south side of Rocky Fork State Park. Ohio Route 506 begins southeast of Hillsboro at Ohio Route 124 in the tiny town of Marshall. It runs easterly, with a slight northerly tilt, until it ends at Ohio Route 753. The tiny town of Cynthiana is another few miles east of the eastern end.
My photo of Ohio Route 506 shows the first westbound trailblazer at the eastern end. Travelers turning off of Ohio Route 753 toward the west will see this sign, which reassures that they made the right choice (or did they?). This photo was taken during the southwestern Ohio tour of October 2018.
