^Looking south along Iowa 150 from US Route 18 in West Union, September 2019.
Iowa Route 150 is a north-south highway in northeastern Iowa, covering a sizeable distance from Calmar to Vinton. The northern endpoint in Calmar is common to the eastern endpoint of Iowa Route 24, at an intersection where US Route 52 moves from the northern leg of the junction to the eastern leg. (Iowa Route 24 occupies the western leg, and Iowa Route 150 starts out along the southern leg.) From Calmar, Iowa Route 150 heads south through West Union, Fayette, Oelwein, Independence, and Urbana, before ending in Vinton at US Route 218. This southern endpoint is about ten miles after Iowa Route 150 meets an interchange with Interstate 380 at Urbana.
My photo of Iowa Route 150 comes from its junction with US Route 20 at Independence. What you see here is the southbound trailblazer on Iowa Route 150 reassuring travelers that have just passed through the interchange with US Route 20. This photo was taken on July 1, 2017, toward the latter end of my trip around eastern Iowa.
Here are some more photos I've taken along Iowa Route 150:
