Ohio State Route 739 runs northeast-southwest in Marion and Union Counties. It runs southwest from the city of Marion, but first, it originates at the city's central foursome of intersections. The main east-west route through town (Ohio 95 and 309) and the main north-south route (Ohio 4 and 423) both take the form of a pair of one-way streets, and those four streets create four intersections. At those four intersections, Ohio Route 739 is born, and it starts by following the main north-south route toward the south. That north-south route carries Ohio Route 4 and Ohio Route 423, and it also carries Ohio Route 739 for a few blocks before it turns away toward the west. Ohio Route 739 runs westward and southward across western Marion County, northern Union County, and western Union County. Ohio Route 739 ends at an interchange with US Route 33 outside Honda's Marysville production plant, where the road continues onward as Ohio Route 287.
My photo for Ohio Route 739 comes from the southwestern end at US Route 33. Travelers exiting from US Route 33 toward the northwest will see these guide markers in the photo, pointing out a right turn onto Ohio Route 739 and a left turn onto Ohio Route 287. This photo was taken on Leap Day 2016 on the way home from Columbus.
