Ohio State Route 220 is a fairly short route around Waverly, in Pike County. It's shaped kind of like an upside-down "J" (reflected, not rotated), as it goes northeast, east, then south. The western end of Ohio Route 220 is at Ohio Route 772, near the small hamlet of Idaho. From this rural western endpoint, Ohio Route 220 heads easterly and northeasterly around the northwest side of Lake White. Its next recourse is to go into Waverly, where it crosses US Route 23 (duplexed with Ohio Route 104). In Waverly, Ohio Route 220 turns southerly. It runs toward the south until it ends at Ohio Routes 32 and 124 east of Piketon.
