Indiana State Route 51 runs north-south in northwest Indiana, specifically eastern and northeastern Lake County.  It's not very long, but it does serve as the main route through Hobart, Indiana. The northern end is at US Route 20, a tiny distance north of Interstates 80, 90, and 94.  The southern end is at US Route 30, where the southern end of Hobart meets the eastern arm of Merrillville.

My photo for Indiana Route 51 is the northbound trailblazer coming off of the junction with US Route 6 and Indiana Route 130. US Route 6 joins Indiana Route 51 north here, too, so US Route 6 should be mentioned in this sign assembly as well.  Alas, INDOT goofed up here.  It happens.
