Ohio State Route 264 heads west out of Cincinnati to Cleves, in extreme southwestern Ohio. In Cincinnati, Ohio Route 264 begins along the 6th Street Viaduct, which also carries US Route 50. Specifically, the 6th Street Viaduct and Ohio Route 264 begin at Central Avenue, a north-south street that carries US Routes 27, 127, 42, and 52. This is a block east of Interstate 75. The Viaduct carries Ohio Route 264 and US Route 50 westward as a sort of expressway. As the expressway ends, Ohio Route 264 is spat out onto a surface street, and it soon turns northerly and northwesterly onto Glenway Avenue. Ohio Route 264 winds northwesterly into Cheviot, where it turns westerly on Bridgetown Road. The scenery gets more rural in nature, and then Ohio Route 264 ends in Cleves, at a north-south jog in US Route 50.
My photo for Ohio State Route 264 shows the western end in Cleves, at a north-south jog in US Route 50. The photo looks west at the intersection that is technically the end point of the state highway. A left turn will lead to US Route 50's eastward continuation, and a right turn will lead to US Route 50 west, even though south is to the left and north is to the right. This photo was taken in February 2017, during a detour from a detour; I was coming home from Columbus from Cincinnati when I dropped south from Interstate 74/275 to take this photo.
