^Looking southwest along Indiana 23 at Indiana 331 on the north end of Mishawaka, July 2024.
Indiana State Route 23 is a highway in north-central Indiana, mainly in the South Bend area. It begins as Michigan Highway 62 crosses into Indiana near Granger, then cutting southwest across South Bend. After that, it turns southerly through Walkerton to end along Indiana State Route 10 between Bass Lake and Culver.
The current featured photo for Indiana Route 23 lies immediately below, though an older photo once was featured for this route. That older photo is available for viewing at the bottom of this page.
My photo of Indiana Route 23 shows a trailblazer intended for those turning toward the southwest off of Indiana Route 331, in Mishawaka. The northern end of Indiana Route 331 occurs at Indiana Route 23 less than two miles south of the Michigan state line, and less than a mile north of the interchange where Indiana Route 331 can access the Indiana Toll Road (Interstates 80 and 90). This photo was taken in July, 2024.
Another photo was formerly the featured photo for Indiana Route 23 on this page. That older photo is shown here:
This older photo of Indiana Route 23 is the eastbound signage along US Route 30, where it intersects with Indiana Route 23 west of Plymouth. This photo was taken on Leap Day 2016, a day when I was mainly focused on taking photos of Ohio route shields. I was on my way home from central Ohio when this photo was captured.
