​Ohio State Route 683 is a short route in Vinton County, where south-central Ohio meets southeastern Ohio.  It begins at US Route 50 east of Allensville. From there, it runs southeasterly for about 8 miles to Hamden.  The southern end, on the north side of Hamden, occurs at a junction with Ohio Route 93.

My photo for Ohio Route 683 comes from the southern end at Ohio Route 93 in Hamden. a town just north of Wellston. The photo looks north at the southern beginning and the first northbound trailblazer.  This what a traveler will see if they turn off of Ohio Route 93 at this junction.  This photo was taken in March 2021, during the grand tour of southeastern Ohio.
