​Ohio State Route 723 is a mere four tenths of a mile, connecting Interstate 70 to US Route 40 on the west side of Cambridge, Ohio. It's a glorified trumpet spur. Exit 176 from Interstate 70 will place a traveler on Ohio Route 723, bound for US Route 40.  US Route 40 appears within seconds at a T-intersection.  Most travelers will then turn right onto US Route 40, which bends northeasterly to put travelers in downtown Cambridge.
