Ohio State Route 541 runs east-west across Coshocton County, extending into Guernsey County in the east and Knox County in the west. The western end is in the small town of Martinsburg, in southeastern Knox County. Martinsburg is the town where US Route 62 and Ohio Route 586, two diagonal routes, cross. From this crossing of diagonals, Ohio Route 541 starts off toward the east. It runs right through downtown Coshocton, while US Route 36, Ohio Route 16, and Ohio Route 83 all bypass the center of town. From there, Ohio Route 541 continues eastward, with occasional shimmies toward the south. The route ends right after serving the tiny town of Kimbolton, and it ends with an interchange at Interstate 77.
My photo for Ohio Route 541 comes from the tiny town of Plainfield, Ohio, where Ohio Route 541 joins Ohio Route 93 for a short concurrency. The photo looks north at the north end of the concurrency, and it shows a guide marker indicating the point where Ohio Route 541 turns toward the west off of Ohio Route 93. This photo was taken in March 2021, during a northern part of my trip around the southeastern quarter of Ohio.
