Ohio State Route 317 runs on the eastern and southern sides of the Columbus area, in central Ohio. The southern end is at US Route 23, a few miles south of Interstate 270. Ohio Route 317 runs easterly from there past the Rickenbacker International Airport. When it reaches the airport, it bends toward the north, past Groveport. The majority of Ohio Route 317 is the northward segment that proceeds north from here along Hamilton Road. Interstate 270's eastern portion bypassing the east side of Columbus crosses over Ohio Route 317 two different times. The last piece of Ohio Route 317 jogs slightly westward so it can end at US Route 62 in Gahanna.
My photo of Ohio Route 317 signage comes from the southern end along US Route 23, a few miles south of Columbus and Interstate 270. The east-west part of Ohio Route 317 ends looking westward, but the roadway continues west as the beginning of Ohio Route 665. This photo looks south at a guide assembly on the corner; those traveling south on US Route 23 use these signs to locate the turns onto Ohio Route 317 and Ohio Route 665. This photo was taken in March 2021, as I was setting out for southeastern Ohio. Back to Ohio Routes 300-499. Back to the Ohio main page. Back to the home page.
