Ohio State Route 609 is a short highway in eastern Trumbull County, stemming east from Ohio Route 7 to a point at the Pennsylvania border near Orangeville. Route 609 is only about two miles long, and it's parallel to Ohio Route 305 which lies one mile to the south. It intersects no other numbered highways besides Ohio Route 7, and it doesn't even feed into a Pennsylvania state highway once it reaches the state border. Ohio Route 609 is just a short, dinky spur east to Orangeville from Ohio Route 7.
My photo for Ohio Route 609 shows the first trailblazer seen by those turning off of Ohio Route 7. This eastbound trailblazer points travelers down the state highway to the Pennsylvania border. This photo was taken in October 2022 as part of the big northeast Ohio trip.
