Ohio State Route 314 runs north-south just west of Mansfield and Mount Vernon, in central Ohio. It connects Shelby to Centerburg. The northern end is near Shelby, at Ohio Route 61. The southern end in Centerburg is at US Route 36, right next to the northwestern end of Ohio Route 657.
My photo of Ohio Route 314 signage comes from Sparta, where it meets Ohio Route 229 and Ohio Route 656. Ohio Route 314 drops in from the north and joins Ohio Route 229 easterly for a very short concurrency. Then, Ohio Route 314 turns southerly to independently cross Ohio Route 656. The sign shown here, facing west, points south at the eastern end of the concurrency. Here, Ohio Route 314 gets the ability to do its own thing again. This photo was taken in October 2022, driving from Columbus to Mount Vernon to kick off the grand tour of northeastern Ohio. Back to Ohio Routes 300-499. Back to the Ohio main page.
