Ohio State Route 276 is a short route from Owensville to Williamsburg, in southwestern Ohio. The route begins at US Route 50 in Owensville and runs southeasterly; the very first few blocks run concurrently with Ohio Route 132. As Ohio Route 276 approaches Williamsburg, it passes under a freeway carrying Ohio Route 32, with no direct interchange. Ohio Route 133, which does have a direct interchange, comes from the north soon after that, and joins Ohio Route 276 southeasterly into the heart of Williamsburg. Ohio Route 276 then ends along this concurrency, at the intersection with 5th Street in Williamsburg, Ohio. 5th Street turns into the Batavia-Williamsburg Pike, and together these formed a former alignment of Ohio Route 32. Therefore, Ohio Route 276 ends at what used to be a state highway. Still, this grandfathered terminus could have been changed to one that makes more sense in modern times. Ohio Route 276 has the interesting distinction of having each of its extents concurrent with other state routes, having consecutive numbers.
My photo of Ohio Route 276 shows the northern beginning at US Route 50 in Owensville. Note that Ohio Route 132 and Ohio Route 276 both descend southerly from US Route 50 along the same roadway; the dual-action trailblazer pictured denotes this. The two state highways will split soon ahead, a little bit further to the south. This photo was taken in October 2018, during an early part of my drive around southwestern Ohio.
