Ohio State Route 552 is a short route running along the north side of Lake White, a lake near the town of Waverly in south-central Ohio. Ohio Route 552 has a southern counterpart, Ohio Route 551, which follows the southern shore of the lake. The western ends of both of these routes occur at Ohio Route 220, which hugs the west end of the lake. The eastern end of Ohio Routes 551 and 552 both occur at Ohio Route 104, which runs just west of US Route 23. Lake White is a lake found along Pee Pee Creek (no, I did not make up that name). Ohio Route 552 isn't even two miles long.
My photo for Ohio Route 552 signage comes from the western end of the route, at Ohio Route 220. Travelers heading northbound on Ohio Route 220 will see this signage pointing out the turn onto Ohio Route 552. This photo was taken in March 2021, as the grand tour around southeastern Ohio was just getting started.
