Ohio State Route 606 is a short route serving the Hinckley Reservation in northeastern Medina County. It runs through an area just east of Brunswick, Ohio. Ohio Route 606's story begins as Ohio Route 3 is heading northeast from Medina, through an interchange with Interstate 71. At a point where Ohio Route 3 bends easterly to join Ohio Route 94, Ohio Route 606 is created to follow the northeastern alignment onward. Soon, Ohio Route 606 crosses the north-south road carrying Ohio Route 94--and Ohio Route 3 again. Ohio Route 606 continues toward the northeast; meanwhile, Ohio Route 3 and Ohio Route 94 proceed northward to Ohio Route 303, at the unincorporated place called Hinckley. Ohio Route 3 replaces Ohio Route 94 on the northerly alignment, sending Ohio Route 94 east down Ohio Route 303. After Ohio Route 606 curls northward as it passes the Hinckley Reservation, it ends at the combination of Ohio Route 94 and Ohio Route 303. This northeastern terminus of Ohio Route 606 occurs on the west side of a small river; on the other side of the river, Ohio Route 94 splits from Ohio Route 303 to continue northward. (The small river is the East Branch of the Rocky River.)
My photo for Ohio Route 606 comes from the northeastern end of the route, at the concurrency shared between Ohio Route 94 and Ohio Route 303. The end of the concurrency is on the east side of the small river, where I took this picture of the westbound junction marker for Ohio Route 606, positioned next to the first dual trailblazer signifying the beginning of the concurrency between Ohio Route 94 and Ohio Route 303. This photo was taken in April 2021, during a detour I took from my route home from West Virginia and Virginia.
