Interstate 74 spends its easternmost 19 miles in the southwest corner of Ohio. The eastern end of Interstate 74 occurs at Interstate 75 in Cincinnati, about a few miles north of downtown. From there, Interstate 74 starts out toward the west, crossing into Indiana about 10 miles north of the Ohio River. That border crossing, near New Haven, Indiana, and Hamilton, Ohio, brings Interstate 74 into Indiana, so it can continue onward toward Indianapolis, Peoria, and the Quad Cities.
