Ohio State Route 91 is a straight north-south highway in northeastern Ohio, leading from the eastern reaches of the Akron area to the eastern reaches to the Cleveland area. The northern end is in the small Cleveland suburb of Timberlake, at Ohio Route 283. Ohio Route 91 starts by heading south through more Cleveland suburbs, including Eastlake and Willoughby. Just past Willoughby, Interstate 271 begins just to Ohio Route 91's west; that freeway will stay just to the west of Route 91 for quite a while. Ohio Route 91 stays on the eastern edge of the inland portion of Cleveland's metropolitan area, serving Mayfield Heights, Solon, and Twinsburg. The southern portion of Ohio Route 91 serves Akron's eastern suburbs, like Stow and Tallmadge. The final destination of Ohio Route 91 is at US Route 224, near Springfield Lake.
My photo of Ohio State Route 91 shows a southbound trailblazer seen by travelers leaving the interchange with Interstate 90. The sign is just south of the interchange, in Willoughby Hills. This photo was taken during the grand tour of northeastern Ohio in October 2022. I'm not sure why the directional banner is under the route marker.
