^Looking west on Interstate 74 as it approaches Interstate 465, August 2023.
Interstate 74 runs roughly west-northwest to east-southeast across the middle of Indiana, connecting the Indianapolis area to Crawfordsville and Champaign-Urbana to the west, and to Cincinnati to the east. Interstate 74 provides an important link between Indianapolis and Cincinnati, which lies just beyond Indiana's border with Ohio.
