Ohio State Route 228 is a minuscule connector between Ohio Route 101 and Ohio Route 19. In northern Seneca County, Ohio Route 101 is moving northeasterly as Ohio Route 19 is going south. Ohio Route 19's southern trajectory is interrupted by an eastward jog. Halfway through that jog is where Ohio Route 101 is intersected. The southward path Ohio Route 19 makes before it turns easterly will continue south beyond the turn as Ohio Route 778. Likewise, on the eastern end of this situation, the northward road Ohio Route 19 takes into the area continues northward as Ohio Route 228 to end at Ohio Route 101. Ohio Route 228 runs between Ohio Route 19 and Ohio Route 101 for about 1 1/4 miles. This whole situation is about 5 miles southwest of Clyde, or 10 miles northeast of Tiffin.
