Ohio State Route 152 is a rural surface highway in Jefferson County, Ohio. Ohio Route 152 commits the DOT sin of existing in two separate segments, as a central segment of the highway got deleted. The northern section begins at Ohio Route 7 in the small town of Empire, Ohio. Ohio Route 152 runs southwesterly from there to US Route 22 in Bloomingdale, meeting Ohio Route 43 in Richmond, Ohio, along the way. The section of Ohio Route 152 that once ran south from Bloomingdale to Smithfield was turned over to Jefferson County. Even so, Ohio Route 152 is resurrected in Smithfield at Ohio Route 151. The southern iteration of Ohio Route 152 proceeds south from Smithfield to Ohio Route 150 at Dillonvale.
My photo of Ohio State Route 152 shows the northbound trailblazer seen by traffic starting out toward the north from US Route 22 and Bloomingdale, Ohio. The signage depicted sits at the southern end of Ohio Route 152's northern section. This photo was taken in March 2021, at the northeastern extent of my trip around southeastern Ohio.
