Ohio State Route 141 runs from Ironton to Gallipolis, cutting a chord a series of meanders in the Ohio River that forms a southern lobe in the state's shape. Whereas US Route 52 and Ohio Route 7 can provide a riverside route between Ironton and Gallipolis, Ohio Route 141 can provide a more direct, inland route between the two municipalities. The southwestern end of Ohio Route 141 is at US Route 52 in Ironton. The northeastern end of Ohio Route 141, after 43 miles, is on the south side of Gallipolis at Ohio Route 7.
My photo of Ohio State Route 141 comes from the southwestern end of the route in Ironton, at the diamond interchange with US Route 52. Those heading southeast on US Route 52 and exiting at Ohio Route 141 will see the signage depicted, pointing out that Ohio Route 141's beginning is accessed via a turn toward the left. This photo was taken during my grand tour of southeastern Ohio in March 2021.
