Ohio State Route 833 is a short route connecting to a bridge over the Ohio River near Pomeroy, on the southeastern edge of Ohio. The northern end is a mutated diamond interchange between Ohio Route 7, US Route 33, and Ohio Route 124, just north of Pomeroy. At this interchange, Ohio Route 7 runs east-west, Ohio Route 124 turns from easterly to southerly, and US Route 33 runs from southerly to easterly (via a couple of far-flung direct ramps growing out of the interchange's southwest side; this is the "mutation"). As Ohio Route 124 emerges to go southerly from this interchange, so does Ohio Route 833, and both routes head south concurrently. At the river, Ohio Route 124 turns easterly as Ohio Route 833 splits to move west along the river. After passing through Pomeroy, Ohio Route 833 reaches a bridge over the Ohio River into Mason, Kentucky. That bridge serves as the end of the state route.
My photo for Ohio Route 833 comes from a junction with Ohio Route 733, halfway between the northern terminus and the split with Ohio Route 124 at the riverside. This set of signs faces south toward northbound travelers. The great southeastern Ohio road trip of March 2021 gave me the chance to take this photo.
