Ohio State Route 749 is a short east-west route in southwestern Clermont County. The western end is along the Ohio River, at US Route 52, in the hamlet of New Palestine. Ohio Route 749 runs inland from there, toward the east; the Ohio River flows northerly in this area. To the east, the route ends in at the tiny hamlet of Lindale, meeting Ohio Route 132. Ohio Route 749 runs through no incorporated towns.
My photo for Ohio Route 749 comes from the western end at US Route 52. The picture shows the western beginning of the route and the first eastbound trailblazer, seen by travelers turning from US Route 52. Those travelers turn away from the Ohio River to see this signage. This photo was taken during the southwestern Ohio trip of October 2018.
