Indiana State Route 7 runs northwest-southeast in southern Indiana, from Columbus to Madison. It begins at State Route 46 on the southeast side of the Columbus, Indiana, vicinity, and then it runs southeasterly to end near the Ohio River, at State Route 56 in Madison. It's west of Indiana State Route 3 from Columbus to the Vernon and North Vernon areas, but it's east of State Route 3 once it exits Vernon to the southeast. Diagonal routes are bound to violate numbering conventions for at least part of their length, though.
My photo for Indiana State Route 7 is at the gore point reached as travelers head south along the concurrency of State Routes 3 and 7, where the two routes split in the town of Vernon, Indiana. This photo was taken at the end of April, 2018.
